Moving Storytime

 

As a mom, I am always looking for some place to take my toddler where he can be active, have a social experience and learn something. As an arts integrator, I can't help wanting to create activities for all to share that are educational and fun. This class does both of these things.

 

In this class, your child will:

 

• practice different ways of moving and learn the words for them ( ie. march, prance, walk)- vocabulary

• practice the names of common animals- vocabulary

• practice names of body parts- vocabulary

• act out several books, one of which will take them on a journey- reading comprehension, setting, character, action

• develop their imagination

• practice counting- math skill

• engage their minds and bodies in patterns- math skill

• gain coordination

• become ready to nap
