Jeanne Garrett (a.k.a “Ms Jeanne") has been a vocal/piano/theatre instructor/coach and choir/showchoir director for over 30 years. She has taught in the Bowie/Arundel Mills/Annapolis area for the last 14 years. Jeanne began performing at the age of 4 and has studied with vocal coaches Lucille Zepp, Larry Carey, Karen Bureau, Susan Schreiner, and Linda Eder. She studied music at York College of Pennsylvania, Psychology at University of Maryland, and is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University. 
 
Jeanne has prepared students for auditions nationally with many being cast in lead and supporting roles both locally and in NYC, Florida, and Japan. She is often asked to judge pageants, run auditions, choreograph musicals and lead master vocal classes in the Pennsylvania and Maryland area. 
 
Vocal Instruction: Ages 6 through Adult 
Jeanne works with each student individually to assess the singer's voice and create personalized warm-ups, practice tips, and goals. All genres of music are available for instruction, however, all music chosen must be age appropriate. 
 
Piano Instruction: Ages 6 through Adult 
Jeanne teaches using the Alfred Basic Piano Method and Faber and Faber Piano Adventures lesson platforms, with various supplemental material. She works with each student to assess the best 
program to use, as not everyone learns the same way. 
Jeanne loves being able to share her love of music with others. With over 30 years of experience, she uses a “student focused" teaching approach for all ages and levels of students.

Each 30 minute lesson is $35.
 
Schedule one lesson at a time, a series of 4 or on-going lessons.
 
Jeanne's availability varies as she is in high demand. As of August 8th, she has availability on Fridays (9:00, 9:35, 10:10, 10:45, 11:20, 12:35, 1:10, 1:45, 2:00, 2:35). Availability may change depending on current bookings. All times are Eastern Standard/Daylight time zones.
 
How it works:
Purchase a number of classes and leave your preferred times and dates in the notes on the shopping cart page. Someone will be in touch about whether your preferred times and dates are still available. If we cannot agree on availability, your class fees will be refunded in full.
 
Jeanne or an Art Play Learn representative will send you a link or connection instructions the day of your lesson.
